The court stays open when it rains

We design, manufacture and install bespoke steel roofs. A high-strength galvanised steel vault, a tensioned membrane and minimal foundations. And if it ever needs to move, it comes apart and goes up somewhere else.

The system, piece by piece

The vault you see standing was drawn first. These are its parts, in the order they go up.

  1. 01

    Galvanised steel arch

High-strength galvanised steel sections. This is what gives the shape and what takes the wind and snow.

  2. 02

    Purlins and bracing

They tie the arches together and distribute dynamic loads. This is where the structure is kept from moving.

  3. 03

    Roofing material

High-quality PVC membrane, corrugated coated sheet or polycarbonate, depending on what the space needs.

  4. 04

    Side enclosures

Optional, with many variants. They close the space, block crosswinds or let the light through.

What we cover

Padel is most of what we do. It is not all of it: the same system solves any sports court, a warehouse or a school playground.

A court that stays open all year

A court that stays open all year

This is most of what we do. The vault covers the whole court at an even height, lets in enough daylight to play without floodlights, and keeps condensation off the glass. One court, or a whole club at once.

Tennis, pelota courts, sports halls and pools

Tennis, pelota courts, sports halls and pools

The same system covers any playing surface. Clear height is calculated for the sport played underneath, and the roof damps the sound of rain instead of amplifying it.

Warehouses, car parks, water treatment plants and fish farms. The materials hold up in aggressive environments, and because the structure comes apart, it suits leased land and concessions with an end date.

A modular structure on rural land

A modular structure on rural land

Crop storage, machinery and livestock. The modular structure goes up on any ground, including rural land where other construction is neither viable nor permitted, and it extends later without redoing anything.

A playground you can use in June and in January

Playgrounds, courts and outdoor areas. It shields from sun and rain with enough daylight to keep the lights off during school hours, and the work can be scheduled for the holidays.

Why an ICOMplus roof and not conventional construction

The question is never whether it will look good. It is whether it is possible on your ground, on your budget and under your planning rules.

AThe work takes less time and gets in the way less

  • Build times come down and foundations are minimal.
  • Components are prefabricated, so they need far less supervision on site.
  • Fast installation: the facility is back in use sooner.

BIt can be removed, moved and extended

  • The roofing system is fully demountable.
  • The installation relocates at low cost if you move site.
  • Extending the roof later is simple and inexpensive.
  • A modular structure that goes up on any ground, including rural land where other construction is neither viable nor permitted.

CIt plays and works better underneath

  • Shelter from rain and from solar radiation.
  • Even clear height throughout, designed for sport.
  • It damps the sound of rain hitting the roof.
  • Enough daylight to keep the floodlights off during the day.
  • It clears condensation and damp off the glass on padel courts.
  • It extends the working life of the space underneath.

DIt lasts and costs less to maintain

  • Better watertightness: rain and snow run off more easily, and it resists wind better.
  • Less maintenance thanks to the finish on the sections.
  • The materials behave well in aggressive environments.
  • It takes digitally printed advertising on the membrane.
